Tips & Ideas
Macy’s sells their gift cards online and appears to process payment for both digital and physical gift cards themselves. That means you should be able to buy a $60 or $100 gift card to lock in the $10 statement credit.
If buying a gift card in-store, link your Amex card with an RCLON (Rakuten Card-Linked Offer Network) backed program. That includes the card-linked in-store programs for Rakuten, the Alaska Airlines and United shopping portals and Google Pay. Although gift card purchases are excluded, that’s not always enforced.
