This isn’t a particularly worthwhile offer because by buying Delta gift cards this way, you’d be forgoing travel protections when paying for Delta flights with a card that offers that benefit.
The 2x SkyMiles you’ll earn from this offer is in addition to the points/miles/cashback you’d earn on your credit card when buying these gift cards. However, payment is processed by CashStar which means it won’t code as an airline/travel purchase, so you won’t even earn additional points by paying with a card that offers bonused spend on that type of category.
Also note that buying a gift card from this offer won’t trigger the statement credit from the Delta Amex Offer, again because it’s CashStar who processes payment.
