I wasn’t overly impressed with the Weis Markets rewards program when we were in Maryland last year on our road trip, but 2x points on Visa and Mastercard gift cards is a pretty good deal.
Buying a $500 Visa or Mastercard gift card will earn you 1,000 points which can be redeemed for $1 off per gallon of gas on up to 20 gallons. All you’d need to do to offset the $5.95 purchase fee would be to fill up with 6 gallons of gas, with anything extra being pure profit. Weis Markets does let you redeem points for savings on some groceries, but the program is extremely limited on that front.
