Key Terms
- During the “Flash Bonus” offer, which runs from 3/26/21 through 3/28/21 at 11:59:59 pm ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of 500 AAdvantage miles on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard AAdvantage miles earned from shopping online through the AAdvantage eShopping mall.
- This one-time bonus award will be determined based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Earn 500 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $100 or more.
- “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.

- Please allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus miles to post to your AAdvantage eShopping account.
Tips & Ideas
Gift card purchases are excluded, but with these portal bonuses that seems to be due to the fact that buying gift cards doesn’t normally get tracked via affiliate programs. Bonuses from these types of promotions have been triggered by gift card purchases from Raise and GiftCards.com though as they’re eligible retailers.
Earning 5x bonus miles per dollar for a $100 purchase is therefore a very good return for both those retailers, but there’s not long to take advantage of this offer as it’s only running for three days unlike the usual ~10 day period for past promotions.
