- Clothing Stores are classified as merchants that sell clothing and accessories geared toward a specific audience. Computer & Electronics Stores are classified as merchants that sell, repair or lease a wide variety of electronic goods, including computer hardware, software and related equipment. Department Stores are classified as merchants that provide a general line of merchandise from departments that usually have separate checkout counters. Toy Stores are classified as merchants that sell toys and games.
- ThankYou Points earned will be posted to the primary cardmember’s account in 1-2 billing cycles.

Citi offers these targeted deals every so often and is can be a nice way to earn some bonus ThankYou points at retailers like Best Buy.
When running these deals, Citi often does different versions of a 5x promo, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there’s at least one other offer out there giving 5x on purchases at drugstores, grocery stores, etc. It’s therefore worth keeping an eye on your email even if the offer I was targeted for isn’t of interest for you.
You’ll earn a maximum of 2,500 additional points. You’re earning 4x additional points (on top of the standard 1x), so it means you’ll max this out when spending $625.
Update: I forgot to mention that this will stack nicely with the bonus AAdvantage miles you can earn on Best Buy purchases from SimplyMiles seeing as this is an offer on a Mastercard.
