Google Pay recently offered 20% cashback at Burger King with seemingly no upper limit on spend. While the maximum savings for this offer aren’t anywhere near as high, buying a $10 gift card in-restaurant means you’ll be locking in a 55% discount which is a decent offer.
You can take this even further by stacking it with the new dining credits on some Amex cards. That would mean you’d get a total of $15.50 back when spending $10 – not too shabby.
If you’re not seeing this offer in the Google Pay app, you probably need to update it to the new GPay app. You’ll then need to ensure the card you’ll be paying with is enrolled in the offer, then you have to activate the offer.
When you’re in the app, tap the bottom left symbol (a tag) to see all the different offers. You should see the Burger King offer when scrolling down. Click that, make sure the card you want to use is listed as eligible (if not, click ‘Enroll more cards’ and enroll that card), then tap the ‘Activate’ button.
