There are few things to note regarding this offer. First, it says you’ll get $7.50 off your grocery purchase rather than getting an instant discount. I think when Kroger uses that wording for an offer it’s enforced, so you’ll need to buy two of the gift cards with at least $7.50 worth of groceries.
Second, even though you can load the digital coupon now, this offer doesn’t start until December 20. Third, if you don’t have immediate need for these gift cards, it might be worth waiting a week or two in case a 4x digital coupon shows up.
Finally, depending on how many fuel points you have, it could be worth waiting to buy these until January 1 or 2. That’s because if you buy them then, the points will be valid through the end of February, whereas if you buy the gift cards in December then the fuel points will expire at the end of January.
I’ve always received the $ off even if I just purchase the gift cards regardless of coupon wording. Could be a regional thing (Michigan Kroger).
