Redner’s Markets ran a similar deal on Visa and Mastercard gift cards recently. As I mentioned in that post, I have no clue what kind of value 75,000 Redner’s Markets points have. I looked all over their website and there was nothing giving any kind of indication as to what they’re worth when redeeming, so if you happen to know then I’d love it if you could comment below.
If 75,000 points are worth 10%+, this could be a very nice offer considering high value brands like Home Depot and eBay are eligible for the offer.
Update: Nick at Frequent Miler spotted the following image on the Redner’s Markets website:
That suggests every 5,000 points are worth $0.05 off per gallon of gas or $0.50 off groceries. As a result, 75,000 points are worth $0.75 off per gallon or $7.50 off groceries.
The fuel savings can be used on up to 20 gallons of gas, so that’s maximum savings of $15. Redeeming your points for gas is therefore the best option if you can refuel with more than 10 gallons, but it’s nice having the option to redeem points on groceries too. If you can redeem for the full gas value, some of these brands will be profitable for reselling at 15% off; not so much for 7.5% off. Redner’s sometimes runs Visa gift card deals, so getting $7.50-$15 off those will be profitable even after accounting for the activation fee, so hopefully one of those deals comes back around soon.
