When I first saw this digital coupon I didn’t think it was that enticing, but I realized after that there’s the potential for this to be a decent deal.
Kroger has another digital coupon offering 4x fuel points from March 1-3. If you bought a $25 Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops gift card between those dates, you’d earn 300 fuel points. 100 would come from the 4x digital coupon and the other 200 from this separate coupon.
300 fuel points are worth 30c off per gallon on up to 35 gallons. If you can make fill up to that 35 gallon limit, you’d be saving $10.50. That’d mean you’d be saving 42% based on the gift card cost and so should make this worthwhile for reselling in addition to buying for personal use.
That’s strange that it’s not showing up for you. Are you logged in to your Kroger account? If I click on the link when logged in then it shows for me, but if I open it in Incognito mode so that I’m not logged in to my Kroger account, I get that same error message.
Kroger’s fuel points program is certainly excellent – I just wish our car had a larger tank as we can only fill ~11 gallons and so we don’t get as good value out of our points as people with 35+ gallon tanks can get.
Those are all great suggestions, but sadly none of them are viable for our personal situation. We only have one car and travel full-time, so we don’t have anywhere to store additional gas, but if we settle down somewhere in the future then I’d definitely be inclined to get some gas cans and do what you suggested 🙂
