This is a potentially sweet deal, especially seeing as it’s unlimited use. 10x Reward Points can be worth up to 25% off gas which is great if you can maximize that benefit.
Alternatively, you can redeem for discounts on groceries. Buying a $70 gift card will earn you 700 Reward Points which equals 7 Rewards. Those 7 Rewards can be redeemed for $10 off your groceries, making that a 14.3% discount. Note that you can only redeem a couple of those 7 Reward options for $10 off your groceries twice per month (I think), so that makes it harder to scale this deal when redeeming points solely for groceries.
Don’t forget to pay with a card that earns more at grocery stores which includes many different Chase, Citi and Amex cards right now, as well as the Chase Freedom card this quarter.
