I discovered last night that the JetBlue TrueBlue shopping portal includes a card linked program for some partner retailers. This might be old news, but I’ve only just noticed it and I don’t remember seeing it mentioned on other blogs in the past, but I might be misremembering.
I covered this in more detail over on Frequent Miler (see JetBlue Card Linked Program: Stack Offers For Great Returns), but wanted to cover it here too seeing as it offers the potential to earn a decent number of TrueBlue points when buying gift cards for very little additional effort.
To give a quick overview of how the program works, you need to log in to the TrueBlue shopping portal and register at least one credit card. If you use that card at one of the participating retailers in the card linked program, you’ll earn x number of points per dollar.
One of the partner retailers is Lowe’s, with the shopping portal offering 3 TrueBlue points per dollar spent at Lowe’s with a registered credit card. There’s currently a Lowe’s Amex Offer giving 10% back on up to $1,000 of spend, so if you link a card with that Amex Offer loaded to it and spend $1,000 on gift cards then you’ll earn 3,000 TrueBlue points, get $100 back from the Amex Offer and earn 900 miles/points on the credit card (or more if it earns at 2x or greater).
There’s also an Old Navy Chase Offer giving 10% back on up to $100 of spend. If your local Old Navy has a gift card rack, you could buy a $100 Amazon gift card for a net cost of $90 after the Chase Offer statement credit, while also earning 300 TrueBlue points and 90 points/miles on the credit card.
A few other things to note:
- You can register up to 10 credit cards (you can delete cards and add new ones in the future).
- It can take up to 24 hours for registered cards to have purchases track, so it’s better to register cards at least a day before shopping at a participating retailer.
- It can take a week for purchases to track, so don’t worry if it doesn’t immediately show up on your account.
- Offers are automatically linked to any cards that you register – you don’t have to manually add each offer to a card.
- Most airline shopping portals are run by Cartera, but JetBlue’s is run by Collinson Latitude. Many other card linked programs are run on the back end by Empyr, so JetBlue’s card linked program should stack any time that the same retailer is available on additional card linked programs.
- Some offers have specific wording, so check that first. For example, the Rover offer has a limit of three redemptions.
[…] might be possible to stack this with other opportunities. For example, JetBlue has its own card-linked program which includes Gap and Banana Republic. That’s offering 3 TrueBlue points per dollar spent, […]
