Tips & Ideas
This isn’t anywhere near as rewarding as their deal a few weeks ago that offered 1,000 bonus miles when spending $200 at Best Buy which turned into 6,000 miles with a 5x promo. Still, it works out to be 1.25x bonus miles when spending exactly $200 and should work when buying gift cards.
I don’t think Best Buy sells Visa gift cards anymore, but you can get Best Buy and Amazon gift cards there. This seems to be an in-store only deal, but I’ve not tested it online to know for sure whether or not that’s the case.
As with all SimplyMiles offers, you have to pay with a card you’ve linked to the program which, at the moment, has to be a Mastercard. Although you have to have an eligible American Airlines Mastercard to set up a SimplyMiles account, you can link any Mastercard and use that for the offers.
