Tips & Ideas
In case you’re not familiar with Bumped, it’s a relatively new card-linked app that’s works in a slightly different way to other card-linked apps like Dosh.
With Bumped, you select one partner from various different categories such as warehouse stores, coffee shops, gas stations and more. When spending money at those selected partners, you earn a percentage of your spend in the form of company stock. For example, I earn 2% back in Netflix stock each month when I pay our subscription as that’s one of the options in the entertainment category.
To celebrate their first birthday, Bumped has added a new grocery store category which contains two chains – Kroger and Albertsons. Those are a couple of great partnerships seeing as all their affiliate stores are included. For Kroger, that includes Ralphs, Fred Meyer, Harris Teeter and more. For Albertsons, that includes Safeway, Shaw’s, Tom Thumb, Vons and more. Check out our full list of grocery store brands to see which stores are owned by Kroger and Albertsons.
Earning 0.5% on all grocery purchases is excellent seeing as all you need to do is link your cards. Even better, gift card purchases aren’t excluded. When you think of what types of cards are sold at grocery stores, getting 0.5% back (albeit in the form of company stock) means your earnings could rack up quickly.
The only downside with Bumped right now is that there’s a waitlist; I got in a few months ago, but my wife applied two months ago and is still waiting for access. It’s therefore worth registering with Bumped ASAP so that you get access sooner rather than later.
Here’s my referral link. As far as I’m aware, they don’t actually offer any kind of referral incentive for me or for you, but I think you have to have a referral link to sign up (I could be wrong on that though).

I just had them add a ride share category for myself that included uber and lyft, I already had a grocery category that included kroger at 1% but no Albertsons
